Some pick up lines are just terrible.

How many times have we heard cheesy pick up lines like:

"Nice shoes. Wanna bang?"

"Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?"

"Your daddy must have been a thief, because he stole the stars and put them in your eyes."

Face it, using lines like this will cause a girl to run the other way. Pick up lines like these make you look like an idiot.

Because pick of lines such as these, which are bad get too much attention, while encouraging others to consider that all pick up lines are worthless.

This simply is not true.

Using good pick up lines actually assist you in picking up a woman.

The true point in using pick up lines is to begin a conversation.

PERIOD.

After the woman begins talking with you, then you work your magic of getting her to date you, her telephone number and the emotional connection.

Remember, if you do not begin a conversation, you cannot do much more.

Because you shouldn't just be talking to a girl. You should be ENGAGING the girl. Pulling her into a conversation with you is the only sure-fire way to further your agenda.

Good pick up lines help you do this.

It is natural to be nervous when going out to meet women, being unsure what to say; however, most often you miss your chance to meet a good woman, simply because it takes to long to think up something to say.

It is essential to have at least a couple of good working pick up lines, especially for those times when you are nervous and cannot think of anything original that helps you take action.

But don't be fooled into thinking you can get away with a line like:

"Don't I know you from somewhere?"

All women know this to be a lame pick up line. You might think you're being clever when you say this, but you're not.

Other unimpressive pick up lines include complimenting a woman on her clothing, asking for directions and telling her she looks like a movie star.

Why is this?

Because these things do not ENGAGE the girl. Once she responds, there is nothing to keep her in the conversation.

Bad pick up lines have yes and no answers. Good pick up lines get a woman to thinking about her response, while encouraging an emotional reaction from her, this causes her to want to continue talking with you.

How can you engage a woman in conversation with you?

The easiest way is to ask her opinion about something. Every woman has strong opinions, and they aren't afraid to share them! (Particuarly when they come to relationships!)

So to give you an example, you could say something like: "Hey, can I get your opinion on something real quick? Do you think it's wierd for a woman to try and get pregnant because she wants her baby to be born under a certain astrological sign? I really want to hear a woman's perspective on this."

Then you can follow up with a story about how you know a woman who wants to make sure her kid's zodiac signs are compatible with hers so they will be well behavied as they grow up.

These various types of subjects for conversation can be about:

1. Children 2. Marriage 3. Astrology 4. Pregnancy 5. Relationships

The numerous ideas for conversations are unlimited. Here you will find a few of my favorite follow-ups.

"Are you a believer in astrology?" (This can begin conversations about destiny and fate.)

"What is your sign?" (No matter what she says - be sure to mention your sign is compatible with hers!)

"What do you think of children? You seem like the mothering type."

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

So as you can see, this pick up line is designed to pull the girl into a deep and interesting conversation, and gives you the opportunity to get to know her better and allow her to become familiar with you.

This is how conversations are started!

At this point, it's the easiest thing in the world to get a phone number from a girl, and possibly even set up a first date.
